Oh! The Wonderful World of Stop-Motion

Is it just me or do you feel like stop-motion opens up a whole new world of imagination? I think it allows you to be incredibly creative with your artistic abilities. One day I want to contribute to making a short stop-motion film.

Here are a few of my favorite ones:
If you guys know of anymore, please share them with me! :]

Personal Reflection

I know this woman that was asked a very interesting question during an interview and she shared it with me... Now I wanted to share it with all of you, as well as a reversed version of it. I think this is a really great exercise to take some time to reflect on your personal characteristics and what impression you give off to the people around you.

Original Question:
  • What do people think you are, but you are really not?

Reversed Question:
  • What do people think you are not, but you really are?

This past Sunday, my family and I hung out at the park and spent a good amount of time talking about these questions and sharing our thoughts with one another. Have fun with it and ask your friends for their responses!

Working on my Portfolio

Inspiration has hit me and now I'm on a roll! Recently I was babysitting my two little sisters and we decided it would be a lot of fun to do a photo shoot. Definitely not the first time we've done this... they are my reliable models that can be paid off with ice cream and board games. First I chose a vintage, beachwear theme and then I let them chose the second theme, which not to my surprise they agreed on punk rock. Yes they are not professionals, but I think they do an absolutely wonderful job and find that I get really awesome results when they have the freedom to pick their poses and facial expressions. I served as wardrobe stylist, makeup artist, photographer, and editor. I posted a few of my favorite shots below, some in which I edited the color a tad. Let me know what you think!

Thank you so much for all of your help Brianna and Serenity! Love you beautiful girls.

The Good Ole Bucket List

Okay let's talk about bucket lists... I am totally for them! 1.) They create long-term goals 2.) They create short-term goals 3.) It feels OH SO GOOD when you finally get to cross something off. Think about what you really want to experience and accomplish in your life... dig into your deepest dreams and desires, far and wide and scratch it all down on a piece of paper. If you have some personal stuff in there, no big deal, hide your list in your underwear drawer. ;] But seriously you can make it however you want and just have fun with it. The great thing about a bucket list is that you can always add to it and it is such an encouraging action to take control and make plans that will fulfill your life. Sure you can't do everything now because of time and money, but it's the EVENTUALLY part you need to focus on. Don't ever give up on any goals you set for yourself! I added a "What I've Done Along the Way" Section at the bottom of my bucket list to see all the experiences I've had without planning for them and it keeps me motivated.
