it's apparent through the looks and the silence;

Why does it have to be a game of hide and seek?

We both know how we feel, but have lost the ability to speak.

The look might be all we need,

we are in a constant limbo.

Routine and comfort-ability take control,

it's hard to shake the habits.

Why do we do the things we do?

The struggles within ourselves might be to blame.

Fear of rejection and failure stunt growth.

Present Stranger, Future Lover

I love you without words.

I love you without you knowing I exist.

We have never spoken, we have never met

Yet you are the one for me and I the one for you.

The way we laugh, the way we grow

is inexperienced now, but will be incomprehensible bliss.

Everything will be easy, but hard all in the same.

That does not diminish from the fact that:

Music: The Black Keys

The Black Keys are one of my favorite bands. I have had the pleasure of seeing them twice already; the first time was August 2011 at Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco and then just recently this past weekend at Coachella Music Festival in Indio. They are brilliant musicians with so much soul, which is what music is all about.

Falling Whistles Yet Again

I absolutely love this company. As I've mentioned before, Falling Whistles is a non-profit organization that's dedicated to spreading the word by launching a campaign for peace in the Democratic Republic of Congo and for the freedom of the young soldiers abducted from their homes and forced into the frontlines. 100% of the proceeds go toward the restoration of the lives of war-affected children through rehabilitation programs and stateside advocacy! I recently went to the MAGIC Trade Show in Las Vegas and attended a seminar called Impact Your Fashion World: Action = Creativity. Sean Carasso, the CEO and founder of Falling Whistles, was the guest speaker and I cannot even describe to you how cool of a person he is. He is energetic, passionate, and down-to-earth. I felt incredibly inspired, walking out of the seminar with a smile on my face and new ideas running through my mind.
 
At PROJECT, I stopped by their booth and I finally got my very own whistle! I am now officially a Whistleblower for Peace in the Congo! You can buy a whistle too! (*They're coming out with some new ones soon! Be on the lookout!) They have some pretty sweet posters too.
