What Was Once Has Now Passed

I can see those looks you're sending me from across the crowded room.

Your charm is magnetic, but you already knew that.

What are you trying to do?

Even though I never said the words,

I'm sure you knew how I felt.

Neither of us did anything then and that's okay;

maybe it was never supposed to develop into anything.

I've accepted this idea, but when we're here... in this crowded room,

I can't help but think of the what ifs and why nots.

I wonder if you think the same; I will probably never know.

But with these familiar hellos and goodbyes,

we will continue in the growth of this

confusing/loving/simply complicated friendship because

what was once has now passed.

The sand gets softer, the sun burns brighter

Warm tingles form on top of skin

It's times like these you want to be alive.

I think I am ready to share poems I have written. I am really nervous about letting other people see them since they expose some personal thoughts and feelings. I want to include a song or photograph with some of them that I think adds to the expression.

PROCLAIMER: I never said I was good, so please be gentle. ALSO they are not in order from when they were written and some are really old. I do not have titles for a majority of the poems, so I would love your input.
